Terms & Conditions – Tasting Note Candles

Welcome to Tasting Note Candles!
By browsing or purchasing from our site, you agree to the following terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our site (we’ll miss you, but we get it).
Definitions
“We,” “us,” and “our” refer to Tasting Note Candles. “You” and “your” refer to the customer, whether retail or wholesale.
1. New Accounts
· New wholesale accounts are required to submit an application prior to approval.
· Retailers must disclose valid business names, contact information, and domain addresses for any and all websites on which Tasting Note Candles are sold.
· A valid reseller permit # is required for US wholesale accounts to be marked tax exempt.
Tasting Note Candles reserves the right to refuse service at any time, for any reason.
2. Order Minimum
· Wholesale accounts: $250 USD minimum order required (new and existing).
· All orders must be paid in full before shipping from our Connecticut studio.
· Orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Inventory cannot be held without payment.
Large orders (100+ units): May require a 50% deposit to begin production, with balance due before shipping. Lead times may be extended; contact us at tastingnotecandles@gmail.com for details.
3. Shipping & Delivery
· Standard processing time: 5–7 business days before shipping.
· During peak seasons (October–mid-December, launches, major promos), processing may extend to 4–7 business days. Please plan accordingly.
· You will receive a shipping confirmation when a label is created; tracking may take up to 48 hours to update.
· Delivery times depend on the carrier and may be affected by weather, postal delays, or other factors beyond our control.
4. Our Products
Our candles are handmade in small batches — like a fine wine, no two pours are exactly alike. Slight variations in color, fragrance strength, or appearance are part of the artisanal charm and are not considered defects.
5. Pricing & Payment
· All prices are in USD and may change without notice.
· Payment is required in full at order placement unless otherwise noted for large wholesale orders.
· We accept payment methods shown at checkout through Squarespace’s secure payment system.
6. Returns & Refunds
· Because our candles are personal-use items, we do not accept returns for change of mind.
· If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, notify us within 72 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos. We’ll work with you to resolve it.
· Claims made after the reporting window may not be eligible for replacement or refund.
7. Candle Safety
Always burn candles on a heat-safe surface, away from flammable items, drafts, and pets/kids. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
We provide safety guidelines, but Tasting Note Candles is not responsible for injury, damage, or loss caused by improper use.
8. Intellectual Property
All product names, descriptions, photographs, and branding belong to Tasting Note Candles. You may not use or reproduce them without written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tasting Note Candles is not liable for indirect or consequential damages related to use of our products or website.
Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Updates will be posted here with a revised date.
