Tasting Note Candles began when co-founder Francis Marotta was inspired by the “tasting notes” described by various sommeliers and wine professionals encountered during 38 years in the restaurant industry.
This sparked a reconnection with childhood friend and co-founder, Nicole Shaughnessy. While Francis consulted his handwritten “tasting notes” and blended the fragrances in California, Nicole hand-poured the candles at her home studio in Connecticut.
The result of this collaboration are complex, layered and nuanced explorations crafted with a love for sophisticated tastes, intoxicating aromas, and a glass (or bottle) of wine.
Tasting Note Candles are crafted using eco-friendly 100% soy wax and fine fragrance oils while being phthalate & paraben free.
